Honda Civic Si gets an upgrade!Two different racing versions
The New Honda Civic Si gets two new racing versions that show the tuning and racing potential of the car.
The first version is from the HPD or Honda Performance Development,which is the racing division of the Japanese company and it will take part on the TC America Series.The second one was developed by the employees from different divisions of Honda and it will take part at National’s Auto Sport Association the 25 hour endurance race of Thunderhill.
The HPD version although has the same factory engine,necessary upgrades were made. Like bigger radiator for better cooling and keep the engine at low temperatures.Upgraded gear box and a racing exhaust system. For safety reasons a roll cage,racing seats and steering wheel has been added. Giving a bonus to the overall safety of the car,a Bilstein suspension with Einbach spring has been added and Wilwoods brake system.
On the the other version where Honda’s employees are in charge. The upgrade list is longer. From the air intake systems,the special made oil cooling system,the titanium exhaust to Paragon’s brakes. Selbon’s carbon fiber parts keep the car lightweight and with the big spoiler it keeps the car “grounded”.
Honda says that all the upgrades the was used in the HPD version,will be available to the public and you will be able to purchase it from Honda’s dealership.
